Mysterious Orbs Photographed
Orbs of light have appeared at several Christian prayer meetings, causing many to question their origin, especially since the orbs are not visible to the naked eye, but instead caught on camera. Rev Collin Gordon investigated further, and found some shocking revelations.
At a prayer meeting on Nov 15, 2006, 1,600 people filled a community hall at Lahad Datu, in Sabah. A photograph taken by a pastor's son showed a huge ball of light against a dark backdrop, hovering over the congregation. Pastor Susan Tang who founded the Station of Life Bible School in Lahad Datu said "this ball of light is actually the fire of God which descends when altars are erected and sacrifices offered".
"Church intercessors had prayed for years for unity with the local pastors before coming together at this particular prayer meeting. "God's fire had never operated independently of altars and sacrifices, and it will never come to us when we do not connect with Him through consistent prayers, intercession, worship and a self‑denying lifestyle," she said.
Pastor Susan said such manifestations of the presence of God are usually a culmination of a breakthrough, as was the case in the Nov 15 meeting. In her book, Broken Altars, she says that two weeks before an earthquake at Celebes Sea threatened to send a tsunami to Lahad Datu, she had dreamt that the town had indeed been engulfed by a tsunami.
On Sept 5, 2006, she had just entered her bedroom after watching news of Hurricane Katrina's devastation in the US when she saw a vision of water flooding her bedroom. Pastor Susan immediately rounded up all her church intercessors and interrupted her bible school students' studies to get them together to pray.
On September 6, 2005, the Borneo Post headlines screamed: Powerful Earthquake: 987 kilometers east of Lahad Datu in Celebes Sea, no tremor effect so far. "it is truly amazing that an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale and striking at three degrees north and 124 degrees east of the Celebes Sea did not cause a tsunami," said Pastor Susan, who believes her prayers had averted it.
Orbs of light had also appeared at a small church in the tiny town of Bahau, Negeri Sembilan, called Faith Christian Fellowship. This indicates that these manifestations do not depend on the size of the church. "We have had orbs of light, clouds completely covering our sanctuary and other tangible signs of God's presence," said Dr. Teoh, the senior pastor of Faith Christian Fellowship. Referring to Isaiah 4:5, he quotes:
'Then the Lord will create above every dwelling place Of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering.'
At Trinity Community Centre (TCC) in Petaling Jaya, several photographs taken at different prayer meetings have revealed orbs of light throughout the sanctuary ‑ not just hovering above, but also affixed on certain individuals.
Senior Pastor, Rev Collin Gordon, went a step further to investigate when two members of his congregation showed him a picture with some orbs. Looking deeply into it, he noticed that the orb contained some figures.
When Rev Collin had the photograph enlarged, a myriad of colours filled the orb so that it was no longer a round white ball. "On closer examination with the help of a magnifying glass, I was surprised to discover that the figures had the face of a man, lion, ox and an eagle. 'These are the images Ezekiel saw as mentioned in the book of Ezekiel. These four living creatures are the cherubims, and they were found in a wheel within a wheel," said Rev Collin.
He said these living beings represent the following: Man represents intelligence; the lion represents power; the ox, strength and service; and finally the eagle, swiftness and one that soars high above all obstacles. "God was calling Ezekiel into the prophetic office, telling him he was going to have a prophetic voice and bring to pass everything that he spoke. God was also saying to Ezekiel that he would be protected by the four living creatures (cherubims)."
Rev Collin concluded that the orbs which he prefers to call "wheels" that appear at many Christian prayer meetings all over the world are a sign that God is calling the church to the prophetic office. "We have had so many of these 11 wheels" appearing all over the sanctuary, sometimes on the speakers, sometimes just hovering in the corners and even on the worship team or members of the congregation.
I believe this is God's assurance that He is enthroned in the praises of His people. Tangible assertions like these raise the faith of the people, and since I pressed on for answers, I believe I received further revelations about them," he said. Rev Collin provides a detailed explanation of this revelation in a DVD entitled The Throne Has Come Down, which also contains the faces of the living creatures caught on camera.
